Scouting is a Youth Movement that is Adventurous Fun Challenging Inclusive

Welcome to Wahminda Park Scout Group

Formed in 1979, we are a well-established Scout Group based in the Sir Leslie Wilson District of the Queensland Branch of Scouts Australia. Our main catchment areas are Ferny Hills and Ferny Grove suburbs, but we have members from surrounding suburbs as well.

We provide young people aged 5 to 25 with an adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive program. Our Youth are grouped in Sections by age and meet once a week during the School Term, as well as partake in weekend events away from the Den.

Our weekly meetings are held at our Den on Baden Lane in Ferny Hills, just off Samford Road and opposite Ironbark Gully.

  • Nature & the Outdoors
  • Patrol System
  • Personal Progression
  • Promise and Law
  • Symbolic Framework
  • Youth Leading, Adults Supporting

The Scout Method means growing and learning through adventure and new experiences, all while keeping the youth safe.

Scouts is all about fun, friendship, and everyday adventure. We provide great opportunities for young people and adults from a range of different backgrounds.

"One of the reasons I became a Scout was to spend more time with friends in the outdoors. It’s among the greatest experiences in life and should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they live, what they look like or how they grew up."
Bear Grylls, Chief Scout
